Aquarium maintenance logs · water chemistry
Every display, wall and pond, logged at every visit.
Frescalo is built to keep the record your firm works from: each client’s properties, each system with its life support and what lives in it, every service visit as an aquarium husbandry record, water chemistry against the range you set, and every incident through to closure.

The register
Client, property, system.
Every client holds its properties, and every property holds its systems: a saltwater display, a planted freshwater display, a living wall, a koi pond. Each system keeps its life support and what lives in it, so whoever takes the next visit knows what they will find before they open the cabinet.

Koi
One property · four systems · Illustration · invented client · sample data
The fish, corals and invertebrates on a display are the client’s; the register is how your team knows them.
Four kinds of system
One register for the glass, the wall and the pond.
A system’s type decides what a visit checks and which readings it takes. The record stays the same shape, so your team reads a living wall’s history the way it reads a reef’s.

Saltwater displays
Marine and reef aquariums with a sump below: the protein skimmer, the return and circulation pumps, the heater, the lights, the auto top-off and the dosing lines, beside the fish, corals and invertebrates they keep.
- 02
Planted freshwater displays
Aquascapes behind a bar or in a spa: the canister filter, the heater, the lighting, the CO₂ and its drop checker, the fertiliser dosing, and the planting with its shoal of fish.
- 03
Living walls
The water system behind the planting: the irrigation controller, the drip lines and their filter, the reservoir, nutrient dosing, the grow lights and the drainage, with plant health logged zone by zone.
- 04
Koi ponds
One more system type on the same register: the pump, the filter, the UV clarifier, the skimmer and the aeration, the koi, the water chemistry and the season’s work.
The service visit
A visit, written down as it happens.
Your service aquarist works through the display, and each piece of work becomes a line on the visit’s record: the water change, the glass, the filter socks, the protein skimmer, the auto top-off, the pumps, the dosing lines, the fish counted, the readings, the photos and anything that needs a second look.
- Water change 15 % · 57 gal of 380 gal
- Glass cleaned inside and out · salt creep cleared
- Filter socks changed (3)
- Protein skimmer cup emptied
- Auto top-off reservoir filled · no leaks found
- Return pump, circulation pumps and heater checked
- Dosing pump: alkalinity and calcium lines checked
- 23 fish observed of 23 · 14 coral colonies looked over · fed
- 8 readings logged
- 4 photos
- One coral colony paler at its tips · photo · re-check next visitAttention needed

The water change, its volume and how often it is done are your firm’s own practice; the record keeps what was done.
Water chemistry
Readings against the range you set.
Your firm sets the target range for each reading on each system. A reading outside it is flagged when your aquarist enters it at the visit, someone reviews it, and the record follows it back inside. Six Tuesday visits to the lobby display, its alkalinity in six vials:

What each system’s readings are
- Saltwater displaySalinity · temperature · pH · alkalinity · calcium · magnesium · nitrate · phosphate
- Planted freshwater displayTemperature · pH · KH · GH · nitrate · the CO₂ check
- Living wallThe reservoir’s EC and pH
- Koi pondTemperature · pH · KH · ammonia · nitrite · nitrate
No reading is taken by a probe and nothing is watched between visits: the readings are the ones your team records, and the ranges are always yours.
Fish, corals and planting
Fish, corals and planting, visit by visit.
Observations of the fish, corals and invertebrates on a display, and of the planting zone by zone on a living wall, sit on the system’s record with their photos, so the next visit starts where the last one looked.

A living wall, zone by zone
On a living wall the water system and the planting are logged together: the drip lines and their filter, the reservoir and its EC and pH, and each zone’s moisture, leaves and pests. When a zone needs work, the record says which one and what was done.
Reservoir topped up · EC 1.4 mS/cm · pH 6.1, against the range you set

Incidents
From the night manager’s call to closure.
Frescalo doesn’t watch your clients’ tanks. When something goes wrong between visits, your client’s staff call you, and the incident opens from that call: who reported it and when, who went, what was done, the photos, and the follow-up that closes it.

Incident closed

It goes into the month’s Stewardship Report as “1 incident, closed”, with what was done.

Where the record goes
Everything above becomes the client’s report.
The visits, the readings and their trends, the observations, the incidents and the work done are what the Stewardship Report is built from, in your company’s name. The Visit Calendar keeps the rhythm that fills the record.
