Visit CalendarThe week
Each system keeps its own series: LR-01 every Tuesday before guests come down, the living wall and the bar display every other week, the koi pond once a month. When the venue changes its day, the visit moves and the series keeps its rhythm.

How often
Most commercial aquariums are serviced on a set rhythm, often weekly or fortnightly, and the right one depends on the system, its stocking and what the agreement with the client covers. In Frescalo the rhythm is yours to set per system, and every visit in the series lands on the calendar.
01
A saltwater display weekly, a planted freshwater display or a living wall every other week, a pond monthly: each system keeps its own recurring visits.
02
Filter media, lamps, UV lamps and the irrigation filter come due on the cycle you set, and show on the visit when they do.
03
Before guests come down, before the bar opens, between lunch and dinner service: each visit sits where the venue needs it.
04
Move one visit for a private event or a closed lobby, and the series carries on as it was.
05
Service aquarists and living-wall specialists see their own day; the owner sees the whole week across every client.
06
The visits come from the Stewardship Plan you agreed with the client, and the month’s invoice follows from the same plan.
A new display
A new display gets more visits while it cycles. Your team tests ammonia and nitrite at each one; when both read zero, fish are added gradually and the display joins the regular rhythm.
AmmoniaNitriteppm
| ppm | Mon | Thu | Mon | Thu | Mon | Thu |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ammonia | 1.0 | 2.0 | 1.0 | 0.5 | 0 | 0 |
| Nitrite | 0 | 0.5 | 2.0 | 1.0 | 0.25 | 0 |
Twice a week while it cycles
Fortnightly from here
No fixed number of weeks: the display joins the regular rhythm when your team signs it off.
The pond’s season
KP-01 sits in the courtyard, so its care follows the year: the spring start-up, the net before the leaves fall, the winter shutdown. The dates follow your hemisphere; the monthly visit carries on around them.
KP-01 · courtyard koi pond
1Friday, April 1008:30
Pump, filter and UV back on, the water tested, the koi looked over, feeding back on as the water warms.
2Friday, October 908:30
The net goes over before the leaves come down; the pond skimmer is emptied more often.
3Friday, December 408:30
Feeding stops once the water is cold, at your own points; equipment set for the winter; visits carry on.
Feeding follows the water temperature, on your own points. Sample autumn reading: 54 °F.
Where the water stays warm all year, the same tasks run on the dates you set.
Keep exploring
Also: the visit between lunch and dinner service, and the glossary of aquarium and living wall terms.
Frescalo keeps the record of what your team checked, measured, changed and reported at each visit, against the ranges you set. Living systems carry inherent biological risk; Frescalo documents care - it does not guarantee outcomes.
